CQC and HIS ratings

Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Health Improvement Scotland (HIS)
All Aspen Healthcare hospitals and clinics are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) or Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) and have to ensure they meet the regulatory standards required.

These national regulators monitor, inspect and regulate healthcare services to make sure they meet standards of quality and safety and they publish what they find, including performance ratings to help people choose their healthcare provider.

These regulatory standards include all aspects of quality and safety including:

  • the cleanliness of hospitals
  • staff recruitment and training
  • suitability of premises and equipment
  • suitability and quality of management
  • consent to care and treatment
  • information made available to patients.
