Quality Standards

Each Aspen hospital/clinic monitors and reviews a range of performance measures including: infection control statistics, patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.  

We ask our patients if they would recommend our hospitals/clinics to others requiring similar treatment and seek feedback on a range of measures including their overall opinion on:

  • the quality of care

  • the overall cleanliness

  • trust and confidence in our nurses and Consultants 

  • if they were treated with respect and dignity.

 

In 2017, Aspen Healthcare hospitals collected 10,368 completed Patient Feedback Questionnaires. Inpatient and day case ratings for key issues were as follows:

  • 98.9% of patients said they would be 'Likely' or 'Extremely Likely' to recommend us
  • 99.4% of patients were happy with the quality of care 
  • 98.0% of patients had confidence and trust in consultant staff 
  • 95.3% of patients had confidence and trust in nursing staff 
  • 98.0% of patients had provision of privacy when discussing their condition or treatment
  • 99.0% of patients were happy with the overall impression of admission
  • 99.2% was the rating for overall nursing care 
  • 99.0% was the rating for control of pain management 
  • 99.3% was the rating for our overall cleanliness 
  • 98.0% was the rating for overall catering 
  • 98.0% was the rating for discharge procedures 
  • 98.1% of patients said they were treated with respect and dignity.

AIHO represents over 200 hospitals that provide services to insured, self-paying and NHS-funded patients. AIHO works with the Care Quality Commission to influence, impact and represent the high standard of quality care members provide patients within an independent healthcare setting.
