Aspen ends record-breaking year with recognition at Training Journal Awards

Aspen Healthcare has added two more awards to its trophy cabinet to cap a fantastic 2019 for the company.

Aspen was awarded two Bronze Awards at the Training Journal (TJ) Awards on 3 December, a prestigious event that recognises the creativity, passion and hard work of companies and individuals from around the world. NatWest, Sainsbury’s, KPMG and Toyota were among the internationally-renowned brands and companies vying for awards on the day.

Aspen secured Bronze in the Best Customer Experience Programme in recognition of its ‘STEP-Up-To-Safety’ scheme, a highly impactful patient safety and culture change programme. STEP-Up has won plaudits at a number of national events in 2019, including Gold awards at the International Customer Experience Awards and the UK Customer Experience Awards.

The Holly Private Hospital, part of the Aspen Healthcare Group, secured Bronze in the Best Engagement Programme category for its ‘Project FIRST’ programme, an initiative that engaged and empowered staff, and which continues to deliver positive results across key areas including quality, safety and patient experience.

The recognition at the TJ Awards follows hot on the heels of success for Aspen at the international and UK Customer Experience Awards, the UK Business Awards, and at the Patient Safety Congress, with the company achieving a phenomenal seven Gold awards, two Silvers and three Bronze awards in total across the events.

Speaking about the awards, Liz Adair, Group Clinical Director and Chief Nurse at Aspen Healthcare, said:
“It’s a great feeling to end 2019 with two more awards from such a prestigious event. We are deeply passionate about achieving patient safety and empowering our staff to deliver the best possible care, and to have both Step-Up-To-Safety and Project FIRST recognised at these national awards is a real reflection of our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare. Thank you and well done to everyone!”
