Aspen Healthcare has been short-listed for a national patient safety awared.
The annual patient safety awards are presented by the Health Service Journal and the Nursing Times, as a celebration of the best examples of innovative work across healthcare, and aim to improve patient safety and raise awareness in the healthcare community about good practice so that others can improve their services.
Aspen Healthcare has been short-listed for the 'Changing Culture' category.
Des Shiels, Aspen’s Chief Executive, said:
"This is recognition of the significant amount of work that has been invested by our theatre teams across Aspen to create an improved safety culture within theatres. We have set our aspirations and standards high, and have introduced new ways of working to enhance our patient’s safety and experience whilst in our care. We have done this in a remarkably short timeframe by co-producing and implementing a range of focused safety initiatives with our staff.
We are really delighted to have been short-listed for this award as recognition of the passion, commitment and hard work of our staff in developing very innovative service and practice improvements in our theatre departments."
The award winners will be announced on Monday 6th July 2015 at the Patient Safety Congress in Birmingham.
