As of Tuesday 5 January 2021, a new national lockdown is in effect in England, meaning that people across the country must stay at home, except where necessary.
At Aspen Healthcare, we know these are worrying and challenging times, and our hospitals and clinics remain here for you when you need medical care, treatment and services.
We are continuing to support the NHS by providing outpatient services, diagnostic imaging and delivering time critical surgery for NHS patients.
The majority of Aspen’s eight hospitals and clinics across England and Scotland are open and offering clinical services to patients.

The health and safety of our patients has always been central to everything we do and we would like to remind you of the measures we have put in place at our hospitals and clinics to protect the health of our patients, our team and to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
These measures are listed below.
Screening
To protect staff, patients and visitors from Covid-19, we have introduced screening for all patients and visitors to our facilities. All patients who are attending an appointment will undergo screening. Any visitors to our facilities will also be screened before they can enter. This includes all consultants business partners and suppliers.
Hand hygiene
Maintaining good hand hygiene is essential to reduce the transmission of infection in health care settings. Please make sure to use hand sanitiser or hand wash as you enter the clinic. Please also ensure that you practice good hand hygiene while you are visiting our facilities.
Respiratory hygiene
Patients, staff and visitors are encouraged to minimise potential COVID-19 transmission through good respiratory hygiene measures. Disposable, single-use tissues should be used to cover the nose and mouth when sneezing, coughing or wiping and blowing the nose; used tissues should be disposed of promptly in the nearest waste bin. Please remember to keep your hands away from the eyes, mouth and nose.
Social distancing and Queuing
We have implemented social distancing measures to limit the spread of Covid-19 and we ask everyone to please adhere to these at all times by sitting or standing 2 metres (6 feet) apart from staff and other patients. You will notice signage and markings to help with guiding you around our facilities and showing you where to stand and queue. Please help us to help you by following the directions in place. If you are unsure where you should walk or stand, our staff will be happy to help you.

Hospital cleanliness
Be assured that all of Aspen Healthcare’s hospitals and clinics are cleaned professionally in line with government guidance to prevent the spread of Covid-19. All patient rooms are thoroughly cleaned each day and between patients. We also have dedicated housekeepers who are tasked to ensure all high touch areas such as door handles and light switches, are frequently, regularly and thoroughly cleaned.
Advice for visitors of patients
In order to support social distancing, we are asking all non-essential patient visitors not to come to our hospitals and clinics. We are also asking patients who are attending Outpatient Departments not to bring family members or friends with them unless they are directly involved in your care. There are exceptional circumstances when we are able to allow visitors to our sites, for example if your carer needs to accompany you. These visits can be arranged in advance by contacting our team.
Patient flow control
We are implementing patient flow controls at all of our facilities to manage occupancy and the flow of people through our hospitals and clinics.
With the new variant of Covid-19 increasing the transmissibility of the virus, we are constantly reviewing our safety measures to ensure the safety of our patients and team.
Please read our leaflet or watch the video below to learn more about how we are working to keep you safe.
