Award success for Aspen Healthcare at UK Business Awards

Aspen Healthcare was celebrating award success at the 2021 UK Business Awards, notching Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in three separate categories.

Aspen achieved its Gold in the ‘Health and Wellbeing’ category, beating stiff competition from companies including apprentice recruiters Marshall Centre and mental health specialists Myndup. Aspen was praised for rolling out its wellbeing strategy across all eight of its sites and for delivering initiatives across all aspects of staff wellbeing including physical, mental, financial and social wellbeing.

Aspen also achieved Silver in the ‘Best Business Response to the Crisis’ category, after its eight hospitals and clinics committed their entire staff teams and full resources to the NHS to help battle the pandemic. In the 12 months from March 2020, Aspen’s facilities delivered more than 63,000 NHS patient interactions, from life-saving surgery to urgent diagnostic tests.

The third prize awarded to Aspen was a Bronze award in the ‘Best Place to Work’ category. This is a reflection of Aspen’s commitment to investing in employees’ training, development and wellbeing, and a celebration of the positive culture and supportive working environment across Aspen’s facilities.

Speaking about the awards, Noleen Turner, Director of Marketing said:

“We’re delighted to be taking home three prizes at this year’s UK Business Awards, including a Gold in the highly-coveted Health and Wellbeing category. It’s been a tough year for everyone, particularly for our teams working at the forefront of the Covid crisis, so it’s brilliant to receive this recognition and to be celebrated with these awards. Huge congratulations to our amazing teams.”
